Theos Matters is a Christian internet ministry dedicated to helping Christians understand more about the faith, and to give a reason to skeptics for the faith. This is a place for Christians to learn and grow into various matters of the faith. This is likewise a place for the skeptic and curious to hopefully learn the reasons for the hope we Christians hold dear.
Theos in the Greek New Testament is the word used for God. This is where the ministry name comes from. We strive to show through the content here that God truly matters, and explain various matters about God.
We explore various topics in theology, apologetics, church, culture, and any other topic deemed necessary as it pertains to matters of God.
Theos Matters has a dual purpose. One purpose is to encourage and help believers grow and be more mature in their faith. The local church should be the primary means for the growth and development of the Christian as they submit themselves to the shepherding of their pastoral leadership (Ephesians 4:11-12; Hebrews 13:7; 1 Peter 5:1-4). Theos Matters seeks to be a supplement and support to the efforts of the church in educating and developing Christians in the faith.
With this purpose in mind, we publish content that will help equip Christians for the personal ministry God has for them in their home, places of work, and wherever they may go. We also publish content that will help Christians grow up and be more like Christ, and help unify the body in the common faith (Ephesians 4:12-13).
Along with these goals we also strive to help Christians be mature and strong in the faith so as to not be tricked and carried away by false teachings and ideas masquerading as from God (Ephesians 4:14).
The other purpose is towards the skeptic or curious non-believer. We publish content in order to give a compelling defense of the Christian faith as well as explore the reasons why Christians believe what we believe (1 Peter 3:15). This purpose has in mind to publish content that helps the skeptic or curious be given answers to doubts or questions they may have about the truths of God.
